Alberto Wilson, President
Alberto Joined the board in 2019. He is a Network Engineer working for the Federal Government and an avid Martial Arts Practitioner. Alberto has a degree in Electronic Engineering from Catholic University Santa Maria La Antigua and currently holds a 4th degree Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. He has won several medals in international competitions held in Prague, Serbia, Romania and Germany. He currently resides in Arlington, VA
Mylene Marrone, 1st Vice President
Mylene Mayuly Marrone is a seasoned realtor with 27 years of experience in the industry. She served as the Consul of Panama in Washington, DC leveraging her extensive diplomatic expertise. From 2002 to 2003, Mylene led Fundacion Panama as its president, demonstrating her dedication to philanthropy. She is deeply committed to giving back and supporting the needy in her home country, Panama.

Aixa Fraser, Treasurer
A graduate of the Technological University of Panama - UTP - with a degree in Computer Systems Engineering. She attended the University of Maryland University College and earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science Management. Aixa is an entrepreneur and is currently working in the IT field for an insurance company. She was born in Panama City, Republic of Panama and resides in College Park Maryland.
Anamara Robinson Jones, Sub-Treasurer
Is a Technical Project Lead with a Scrum Master and SAFe Agilist Certification supporting Healthcare IT government contracts. During the last 12 years, Anamara has held several positions on the board including two terms as President of the organization. Started college in a Panama City where she was born and completed her Bachelor of Science in Finance at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. She has lived in Maryland for more than 20 years where she attended John Hopkins University and earned an MBA in Management. Currently lives in Elkridge, MD.

Leticia Evans, Sub-Secretary
She was born and raised in Panama City. Did all her education in Panama. High school graduated from Instituto Fermin Naudeau in 1979 and completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Panama in 1984. She left Panama and relocated in New York City in 1989. She launched her first job at Downstate Medical Center where she grew to become a Critical Care Nurse. She holds a master’s degree in Nursing Education from George Mason University in Fairfax VA. She has held several positions in the DMV area helping nursing students to learn the foundation of this wonderful profession. She is the proud wife of Mr. Ernesto Evans and mother of four.
She relocated to the DMV area 1998 serving as a nurse on several DC hospitals. Currently, she works for VHA as a Program Manager for our nation’s veterans.
She enjoys biking, swimming, traveling to Panama and worldwide for her missionary work..
Edgardo Brathwaite, Board Member
Edgardo was born in Panama City, Panama on December 25th. He lived in the townships of Parke Lefevre, then moved to the township of Juan Diaz where resided in the neighborhood of Villa Venus located near Los Pueblos town center. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Electricity from Colegio Artes Officio Melchor Lasso de la Vega, and a Graphic Design degree from Universidad de Panama
Edgardo moved to NYC from Panama where he lived for two years with his mother. He then moved to Maryland to live with his cousins and currently lives in Virginia. He currently works as an independent Electrical Contractor and enjoys practicing Folk music from Panama during his free time.
Edith Parris, Board Member
Edith was born in Paritilla, Los Santos. She Attended IPTC in Panama City and migrated to the US at the age of 18. First relocated to Miami, and for the past 32 years, Edith has lived in Maryland. She earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bowie State University and currently works in the Financial Management arena. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Edith joined the Foundation Panama in 2022.
Maritza Gutierrez, Board Member

Was born in Coco Solo, Canal Zone, Republic of Panama. Attended Saint Mary`s Academy High School in the city of Colon. Attended the University of Miami, Florida, The National University of Panama and The American University in Washington, DC. During her tenure at the Inter-American Development Bank broadened her knowledge of French and learned Portuguese. Retired from this international organization after 30 years to spend time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandson. Has been a member of Fundación Panama since its early beginning. Greatly enjoys working with the Board of Directors of the Fundación and especially her pet projects benefitting newborns and the Christmas toy collection drive, both for needy children in the Washington metropolitan area.
