A Message from the Fundación Panamá President

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported our mission throughout the years. For more than three decades, Fundación Panamá has demonstrated that compassion knows no borders. The success of our Mother’s Day Luncheon was a beautiful reminder that when a community comes together with a spirit of generosity and service, great things can be accomplished.

The Board of Directors of Fundación Panamá is committed to building upon the Foundation’s proud legacy while exploring new opportunities to serve those most in need. In the coming months, we look forward to expanding our outreach efforts, strengthening existing programs, and developing meaningful collaborations with community organizations, businesses, and individuals who share our commitment to improving lives in Washington, D.C. and Panamá.

We are excited about several upcoming events and initiatives that will not only raise funds for worthy causes but also bring our community together to celebrate our culture, heritage, and shared values. We invite you to join us, volunteer, become a member, sponsor an event, or simply help us spread the word about the Foundation’s work.Together, we can continue making a lasting difference.

Thank you for your trust, your generosity, and your continued partnership. We look forward to seeing you at our future events and working alongside you to make an even greater impact.

A Wonderful Celebration of Mothers and Community

Fundación PANAMÁ of Washington, D.C. proudly hosted its Mother’s Day Luncheon in support of Hogar Santa Luisa in Colón, Panamá, bringing together Panamanians from across the Beltway area, as well as friends from other countries, to celebrate and honor the mothers and mother figures who enrich our lives and communities.

Despite heavy rain throughout the day, the weather did nothing to dampen the spirit of the occasion. Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet luncheon prepared by the restaurant, shared stories and laughter, and embraced the warm atmosphere of fellowship that filled the room.

The luncheon also provided an opportunity to introduce some of the newly elected board members whom visited each table to personally welcome attendees, express their gratitude for the community’s support, and share the Foundation’s vision for the years ahead.

We were especially honored by the presence of former Foundation President Dr. Norma Small-Warren. It was a true pleasure to see her again, and we are deeply grateful for her continued support and commitment to the Foundation’s mission. We were also delighted to welcome several founding members who have been part of Fundación PANAMÁ’s journey since its establishment in 1992. Their presence served as a beautiful reminder of the dedication, vision, and generosity that have sustained the organization for more than three decades.

Adding to the excitement were our raffle drawings, featuring a variety of wonderful prizes generously donated by supporters. The raffles generated tremendous enthusiasm, not only among our guests but also among restaurant patrons who joined in by purchasing raffle tickets to support the cause.

Most importantly, the event successfully raised funds to benefit Hogar Santa Luisa, helping continue its mission of caring for the elderly in Colón, Panamá.

Continuing Our Support for Hogar Santa Luisa in Colon, Panama

Thanks to the generosity of our members, friends, and supporters, Fundación PANAMÁ has already been able to send an $800 donation to Hogar Santa Luisa in Colón, Panamá, to help address an immediate need at the home. We are grateful for the outpouring of support that made this contribution possible.

However, the needs continue, and so does our commitment. We are actively seeking both monetary donations and contributions through our Amazon Wish List, which contains items specifically requested by Hogar Santa Luisa to benefit its residents.

We warmly appeal to our members, friends, and the broader community to continue supporting this important mission.

Every donation makes a meaningful difference and helps provide comfort, care, and dignity to those seniors in need who depend on the services of Hogar Santa Luisa.Together, we can con-tinue extending a helping hand and demonstrating the compassion and generosity that have been the hallmark of Fundación PANAMÁ for more than 30 years.

Thank you for your continued support.

Extending a Helping Hand in a Time of Need

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting Panamanians facing difficult circumstances, Fundación PANAMÁ of Washington, D.C. recently provided a $500 donation to assist the family of a 17-year-old young man from Chilibre, Panamá, who was critically injured after being shot and subsequently fell into a coma.

The donation was intended to help ease some of the immediate financial burdens faced by his mother and family during this challenging time. While no contribution can erase the pain and uncertainty that accompanies such a tragedy, we hope that this gesture serves as a reminder that they are not alone and that a caring community stands beside them.

We ask our community to keep this young man and his family in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate his recovery journey.
